God chose Israel as His special people and gave them the responsibility to be a testimony to all Nations.
"...And in your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice."
Genesis 22:18 NASB
This promise shows the divine purpose to bless all nations through Abraham's descendants, which includes Israel.
In addition, in the book of Isaiah 2:3, it is mentioned that “out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem” which highlights the importance of Israel as the source of the Word of God and its role in spreading it to the other nations.
Finally, in the New Covenant, the apostle Paul speaks about Israel as the people chosen by God to bring the light of the Gospel to the nations: In Romans 1:16, he says, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.” Here, Paul acknowledges that the gospel is for all people, but he also highlights the order in which it was presented: first to the Jews and then to the Gentiles. Through its testimony and obedience to God, Israel has the responsibility to show the way to salvation and share the truth of the gospel with the world.
